A Nation Divided
In January 2023, a proposed judicial reform split Israeli society open. What began as a legal disagreement became something far deeper — a confrontation along religious, cultural, and ethnic lines that exposed decades of unresolved tension.
Religious or secular. Right-wing or liberal. Each side certain the other was destroying democracy. Each side refusing to listen. What emerged was a crisis of sinat chinam — baseless hatred. The same force that, according to Jewish tradition, destroyed the Second Temple and scattered the Jewish people across the world. History, it seemed, was repeating itself.
Then came October 7th.
That day made undeniable what division had obscured: a fractured people is a vulnerable people. Our internal rifts did not cause that tragedy — but they left us exposed, unprepared, and arguing while our enemies watched.
We cannot afford to keep looking away. The work of unity is not idealistic — it is urgent. It is survival.
Our deepest strength is the sense of commitment we have to one another. Unity is not about uniformity. Unity is about the space there is to hear and contain many voices within... a shared framework and to each other.
A Job for Women

Women bring irreplaceable strengths to this work. Self-awareness. Empathy. A willingness to go inward before speaking outward. These are precisely the tools required to confront hatred at its roots, in the private emotional spaces where it actually lives, long before it erupts in public.
